As frequently seems to be the case with the small press stuff I’ve been doing for the last ten years, reviews are few and far between for Build High for Happiness. When Doctor Who got “rested” in 1989, so many different continuations sprang up that it is now impossible to follow them all, and that means none of the spin-offs can claim an audience as big as the show’s. But some people still notice what Obverse are doing and know how vital reviews are to helping small press publishers to survive (hint hint, if you like what Obverse have done, write them a review).
However, there are some signs that Build High for Happiness has been popular. It has 4.25/5 stars on GoodReads, and even has a review on Waterstones.com, and (fellow Obverse author) Finn Clarke also said a very nice thing about my story and the collection as a whole, which I’ve only been able to find in a Facebook post from Obverse.
