One of my favorite stories in the book … Dale Smith really creates a couple of believable character that we want to root for.

JD Burton, GoodReads

It’s still early days for Iris Wildthyme of Mars, but it has started to garner a few reviews. It has a rating of 4.33 stars out of five on GoodReads, but as yet hasn’t been rated on LibraryThing. The book itself has had two reviews, both of which were very positive. JD Burton thought it was “quite possibly my favorite Iris book of all”, and highlights my story as one of his favourites. In particular, he was pleased with the two main characters, and said that “There’s not a lot of ‘story’ here, but a lot of heart.”

The other review was from EG Wolverson, who again found the collection to be of particularly high quality: “amongst [the] most entertaining [Iris collections] to date”. EG didn’t have much to say about And a Dog to Walk, but did comment on the relationship between the main characters. Given that this was one of the main things I wanted to get right in the story, that made me very happy.

By turns hilarious and heartrending.
